The immortal martyr Rana Poonja Bhil was born in Merpur, Rajasthan. Rana had changed the direction of the war. Born in the land of Mewar which gives birth to heroes, Rana Poonja made the forests of Mewar proud with his bravery. The immortal martyr Rana Poonja was the commander of Maharana Pratap. The only commander who changed the direction of the battle of Haldighati on June 18, 1576 was the immortal martyr Rana Punja, under whose leadership the Bhil archers did not allow the Mughal army to advance beyond the banks of the Banas river in Haldighati.
